It was a five hour drive northeast from Timm's hill to Mount Arvon including a few miles of
dusty dirt road at the end.  It was a little rough near the top but the Chevy did fine.  (When will
Hertz stop renting to us?)  We pulled in at the same time as another familiar car - it was Tom
and Avery whom we met at Timm's Hill.  Because the road conditions were good and we were
able to drive so far up, it was only a short walk the highpoint in sunny, 68 degree weather.

On the way to Lake Gogebic State Park we found nearby Ontonagon County Park so we
stopped there for a $10 site and saved a few miles of driving.  Kevin hates black flies and they
were fierce here.   He looked like a beekeeper after he suited up to combat them.  He also
started a fire to keep them away which helped and they fortunately subsided as the evening
wore on.
Is Kevin trying to scare the
bugs away?
